Wet paint is a surface coating method, and a frequent go-to for high-specification, detailed finishes.

Wet paint is applied to your component using a pressured system that gives a thin, even spray, and a vast range of finishes and gloss levels.  It can even be applied with a spatter, texture or hammer finish, meaning many different types of surfaces can be covered.

• A superior finish to your material.
• Ultra-thin coats can be applied to almost any surface, and the varied amount of finishing options means that even the most uneven objects can have full coverage.
• High temperature curing is not required to apply the coating either, making it the perfect finishing option for materials that cannot be heated for powder coating.

Powder coating is applied as a free-flowing dry powder. The coating is applied electrostatically and then cured under heat which causes it to form a kind of “skin.”

Powder paint is predominately used to coat metals, but there are several potential applications.

Gloss Level

• Matt between 20% and 30% gloss.
• Semi-gloss usually around 60-65% gloss.
• Gloss at least 80% and can be 85%.

Powders can also be supplied in different finishes;

The coating formed from this process also allows high resistance to friction and harsh conditions, making it particularly suited for industrial applications.

Unlike electroplating, which uses an electric current, electroless nickel plating makes use of chemicals to apply a coating. A consistent, even layer can be achieved on your chosen material, regardless of its shape.
