MP Steve Barclay visits PCML to see first-hand the engineering opportunities available in Cambridgeshire

Last week, we welcomed MP for North East Cambridgeshire and Chief of Staff to the Prime Minster, Steve Barclay to our Innovation Centre in March to see first hand all the work we are doing to provide long-term and fulfilling career opportunities and developing essential STEM skills for people working in engineering, life sciences, medical devices, biotech and high-tech product development, across Cambridgeshire.

Our mentoring, training and apprenticeship programmes are underpinned by the STEM Framework - empowering individuals with science, tech, engineering, mathematical and leadership skills to succeed and adapt to our increasingly complex and challenging, technological world.

We are proud to be a local Cambridgeshire employer of choice

Nadine Bishop, MD at PCML Group

Steve was encouraged by our passion to grow the business and invest in our people and echoed our view that the UK's medtech, biotech and healthcare sector will continue to grow in the future and be more relied upon more, as automation and streamlining diagnostics will support the staff and skill shortages within the medical sector and NHS.

It is great to see innovative businesses locally who are expanding and attracting new talent. It was particularly uplifting to visit Precision Engineering firm PCML at their Innovation Centre in March.

PCML is is clearly a business on the up which is great for jobs locally. Well done to Nadine Bishop and all the team.

Steve Barclay, MP for North East Cambridgeshire.
